- ➤ Residents in Hood, a town with about 271 people, are worried about the Delta Conveyance Project after Gov+ Newsom moved ahead with a plan to build a 20 billion dollar water tunnel under the town. Local officials fear the tunnel and new state rules to take land will harm Hood's rural life and alter the nearby Sacramento River area. CBS Sacramento
