ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A three-vehicle crash occurred in Oakdale on Wednesday at 11:10 p.m. on Highway 120 near Valley Home Road when a Lexus entered the eastbound lane, hit a trailer-truck, then struck a Chevrolet—resulting in the death of the Lexus driver and minor injuries to two Chevrolet passengers. FOX40
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Thursday, a 67-year-old driver died in a DUI hit-and-run crash when a 20-year-old hit his Toyota at the intersection of Covert Road and Toomes Road in Salida—police later arrested him for felony DUI, hit-and-run, and vehicular manslaughter. FOX40
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City road projects, including Scenic Drive rehabilitation, Well Treatment and Flushline, Woodland Lift Station, Bret Harte Neighborhood improvements, Downtown Signal Coordination, Tivoli Subdivision, and Coffee Road work, are causing lane closures and weekday delays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; motorists should use detours+ drive cautiously. Some projects will finish between August and January, so residents should expect continued traffic impacts into early next year. City of Modesto
