  • A Turlock man died after his Toyota Camry crashed into a semi-truck on Monday morning at the intersection of South Carpenter Road and Monte Vista Avenue just south of Modesto—California Highway Patrol reported that the truck driver was unharmed and found no signs of drugs or alcohol— while authorities investigate the incident.  CBS News Sacramento

  • A 45-year-old man from Modesto was arrested during a Friday traffic stop on 1700 Crowslanding Road after police found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and an unserialized firearm during a probation check—he is now in custody at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.  FOX40

  • A Stanislaus County farmer said he did not see higher prices for his locally grown tomatoes at his Riverbank stand after a 17% tariff on Mexican imports was imposed—he warned his wholesale business that supplies about 20 taquerias could see prices rise 30-40%.  CBS Sacramento
