Good morning, Modesto.

The Stanislaus Sheriff's Office now patrols Modesto's main bus terminal after riders and StanRTA officials raised safety concerns over theft, fights, and drug use.

StanRTA approved a nearly $480,000 contract for one year, and deputies now patrol six days a week during morning and evening hours—officials say the extra security will help boost rider confidence.
