  • Residents at Walnut Orchards in Modesto face a new $75 monthly dues increase starting January while safety issues and delayed repairs persist—residents have also launched a recall effort of the HOA board with ballots due August 26 that need 82 votes to pass.  CBS Sacramento

  • Modesto singer Talibelico—a 26-year-old TikTok sensation—mixes Punjabi and Mexican roots with banda music that brings together local communities and touches on immigration concerns. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Modesto City Council approved a five-year contract to bring back red light cameras—this move aims to lower crashes and help keep people safe. The nearly $3.7M deal with Verra Mobility gives a 30-day warning before tickets and lets an officer check each violation.  CBS Sacramento
