➤ Modesto City Schools started a 20 member committee to set safe rules for using artificial intelligence in classrooms—teachers, staff, union reps, parents and college partners guide the effort, and the group meets monthly to update guidelines as state and federal rules change. CBS News Sacramento

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ The weekly traffic impact report shows that several city projects are affecting key roads, including Scenic Drive from Bodem Street to Oakdale Road with one-lane closures Monday through Friday and detours in place, while other improvements on South Street, Woodland Avenue, Glenn Avenue and Coffee Road are set to finish from October 2025 to March 2027. Motorists are advised to drive slowly and use alternate routes—following posted detour signs—through these periods of ongoing work. City of Modesto
