- ➤ Employees at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Modesto are seeking to form the company's first union after a mandatory tip-sharing policy sharply cut into their pay. CBS News Sacramento
- ➤ Employees at BJ's Restaurant + Brewhouse in Modesto have filed to form the company's first union after a 4% tip share policy cut their pay by about 20%, leaving them at risk when customers do not tip. A union vote for 152 workers is set for September 26 to address these pay concerns. CBS Sacramento
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The 2024 crop report showed that avian flu wiped out more than $100 million in poultry production and forced quarantine on over 80 percent of local dairies, leading to a $216 million drop in overall agricultural value to $3.15 billion.
