  • Homeowners in Diablo Grande are seeking to recall their HOA board after fines for cosmetic issues added to high water bills amid a water crisis, and many residents say the board dismissed their concerns during a recent meeting. The recall petition requires support from 51% of property owners, with ballots counted on December 15 and a regular election scheduled for October 14—residents demand accountability as water challenges persist.  CBS News Sacramento

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The only low-barrier homeless shelter, ACES, in Stanislaus County may close by spring if its $3.2 million budget falls short due to reduced state HHAP funding — county officials are meeting today to discuss alternative options.
